The CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam focuses on the essential IT skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks commonly performed by end-users and entry-level IT professionals alike, including:

  • Using features and functions of common operating systems and establishing network connectivity
  • Identifying common software applications and their purpose
  • Using security and web browsing best practices

This exam is intended for candidates who are end users and/or are considering a career in IT. The exam is also a good fit for individuals interested in pursuing professional-level certifications, such as A+.

A+ Certification is a testing program sponsored by CompTIA that certifies the competency of entry-level service technicians in the computer industry.  Earning A+ certification means that the individual possesses the knowledge, skills, and customer relations skills essential for a successful entry-level computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry.

Network+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technicians ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services.

CompTIA Security+ certification tests for security knowledge mastery of an individual with two years on-the-job networking experience, with emphasis on security. The exam covers industry-wide topics, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack and operational and organization security. CompTIA Security+ is taught at colleges, universities and commercial training centers around the globe. There are approximately 13,000 CompTIA Security+ certified professionals worldwide. CompTIA Security+ is an elective or prerequisite to advanced security certifications. CompTIA Security+ certification is recognized around the world as the benchmark for foundation-level security professionals. Incorporating a comprehensive range of security knowledge areas, CompTIA Security+ was developed with input from industry, government, academia and front-line practitioners.

Upon successful completion of this course, students should have the knowledge and skills to effectively demonstrate an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud, independent of specific technical roles addressed by other AWS Certifications. Student should be able to define what the AWS Cloud is and the basic global infrastructure, describe basic AWS Cloud architectural principles, describe the AWS Cloud value proposition, describe key services on the AWS platform and their common use cases, and more. All of these skills are needed to successfully prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.

This course will provide foundational level knowledge on core Azure concepts; core Azure services; core solutions and management tools; general security and network security; governance, privacy, and compliance features; Azure cost management and service level agreements.

CompTIA Linux+ validates the skills entry-level administrators need to secure the enterprise, power the cloud and keep systems running. The new certification ensures that IT professionals have these necessary skills to support today’s tech systems. This is the only job-focused Linux certification covering the latest foundational skills demanded by hiring managers. Unlike other certifications, the new exam includes performance-based and multiple-choice questions to identify the employees who can do the job. The exam covers tasks associated with all major distributions of Linux, setting the foundation for advanced vendor/distro-specific knowledge.

CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+) is an IT workforce certification that applies behavioral analytics to networks and devices to prevent, detect, and combat cybersecurity threats. This program is designed for individuals getting entry-level Security Analyst positions.

CompTIA Cloud+ is an entry-level IT Infrastructure Certification that teaches individuals to analyze the different cloud models to design the best solution to support business requirements. Maintain and optimize cloud environments, including proper automation and orchestration procedures, backup and restore operations, and disaster recovery tasks. Manage and maintain servers, including OS configurations, access control and virtualization. Troubleshoot capacity, automation, connectivity, and security issues related to cloud implementations. Analyze system requirements to successfully execute workload migrations to the cloud. This program is designed for individuals seeking entry level Cloud Infrastructure positions

This program is designed to prepare students for the CompTIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, CySA+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, and AZ-900 certification exams.
