A+ Certification is a testing program sponsored by CompTIA that certifies the competency of entry-level service technicians in the computer industry. Earning A+ certification means that the individual possesses the knowledge, skills, and customer relations skills essential for a successful entry-level computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry.

Network+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that recognizes a technicians ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services.

CompTIA Security+ certification tests for security knowledge mastery of an individual with two years on-the-job networking experience, with emphasis on security. The exam covers industry-wide topics, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control, authentication, external attack and operational and organization security. CompTIA Security+ is taught at colleges, universities and commercial training centers around the globe. There are approximately 13,000 CompTIA Security+ certified professionals worldwide. CompTIA Security+ is an elective or prerequisite to advanced security certifications. In MD-100, students will learn how to support and configure Windows 10 desktops in an organizational environment. Students will develop skills that include learning how to install, customize, and update Windows 10 operating systems. Students will learn how to manage storage, files, and devices as well as how to configure network connectivity for Windows 10. Students will also learn how to secure the Windows 10 OS and protect the data on the device. Finally, students will learn how to manage and troubleshoot Windows 10.

In MD-101, students will learn how to plan and implement an operating system deployment strategy using modern deployment methods, as well as how to implement an update strategy. Students will be introduced to key components of modern management and co-management strategies. This course also covers what it takes to incorporate Microsoft Intune into your organization. Students will also learn about methods for deployment and management of apps and browser-based applications. Students will be introduced to the key concepts of security in modern management including authentication, identities, access, and compliance policies. Students will be introduced to technologies such Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection and Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection, as well as how to leverage them to protect devices and data.

Upon successful completion of this course, students should have the knowledge and skills to effectively demonstrate an overall understanding of the AWS Cloud, independent of specific technical roles addressed by other AWS Certifications. Student should be able to define what the AWS Cloud is and the basic global infrastructure, describe basic AWS Cloud architectural principles, describe the AWS Cloud value proposition, describe key services on the AWS platform and their common use cases, and more. All of these skills are needed to successfully prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.

Required Courses

NHCA101 – A+ – 41.25 Hours – This instructor-led course is designed for the new computer professional who has support-level knowledge of personal computer (PC) hardware but needs to expand upon that knowledge to learn the basic skills to set up and support the operating systems that run on PCs.

NHCA102 – A+ – 41.25 Hours – This instructor-led course is designed for the student who has a basic knowledge and experience with PCs and who wants to pursue a career as a computer service technician. Covers the skills required to install and configure PC operating systems, as well as configuring common features (e.g., network connectivity and email) for mobile operating systems Android and Apple iOS.

NHCN100 – Network+ – 27.5 Hours – In this five-day instructor-led course, students will learn skills that help prepare for the CompTIA Network+ certification. The course describes the major networking technologies, systems, skills, and tools used in modern PC-based computer networks.

NHCS100 – Security+ – 27.5 Hours – This five-day instructor-led course is a course that you will need if your job responsibilities include securing network services, network devices, and network traffic. It is also the main course you will take to prepare for the CompTIA Security+ examination.

NHAZ900 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals – 11 Hours – This course will provide foundational level knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure. The course can be taken as an optional first step in learning about cloud services and Microsoft Azure, before taking further Microsoft Azure or Microsoft cloud services courses.

NHCC100 – Cybersecurity Analyst+ (CySA+) – 27.5 Hours – This five-day instructor-led course introduces tools and tactics to manage cybersecurity risks, identify various types of common threats, evaluate the organization’s security, collect and analyze cybersecurity intelligence, and handle incidents as they occur.
