My first week of class was a little rough, coming from the navy I was used to early mornings and leaving for the day around 5. Adjusting my family to the night class schedule was just not possible for me. Again I asked my professor and Justin what I could do and without hesitation they put me on the day classes and I immediately felt more comfortable. I do want to say my first professor Mark is exceptional and he was at no fault, it was my personal life to blame. 

Once on the day track I met another fantastic teacher, Darlene. I related to her a lot more because she was also navy and she took the time out of her day to make us kahoots,  answer every question we had with a strong command on any subject we covered and pushed us to go above and beyond. She made sure we had all the resources necessary, even helping us look for jobs at times. She truly is an amazing person and if I could recommend someone to request to tutor you it would be her. Even though it was her first class at the school, she had students from other classes sitting in and learning from her. Thanks to her I got my A+ and Sec+ and was close to CYSA+ and Cloud+. I remember for some reason I would always take my tests on Fridays and she would stay there and review with me until I went in to take the exam. I truly think when I graduated she did everything possible to make sure I was prepared to enter the civilian sector and I will forever be grateful to her. 

The support staff is also awesome. I had the pleasure of working with Sam and Marcy and they are amazing! Sam put up with my many retakes and scheduling multiple tests (most the time it was my fault because  I gave her the wrong email), and she did it with a smile on her face. Sam was kind, hardworking and an encouraging person who I wish nothing but the best for. Marci on the other hand has more patience in one finger than I do in my whole body. The amount of resumes and cover letters she deals with is astonishing. What’s even more remarkable is that it’s first time quality work that will make your resume tailored to whatever job you apply for and it will stand out without a doubt. Her vocabulary and break down of corporate language is second to none and me and my classmates really appreciate her because she was the one that made the resume i used to get a job. 

All in all, I start my new position at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque for Inalab Computer Consulting Inc. very soon and I have Justin, Mark, Sam, Marci and Darlene to thank because without them or Star V I wouldn’t have the tools, experience or knowledge I have now.  Thank you.
